Time to Relax with Essential Oils

Today I want to talk about essential oils for relaxation. I’m sure we all know someone, if not ourselves, who can use a little relaxation time in their lives. Whether it be a nice long bath, a nap or just some alone time reading a book. Here are some oils that can help with your relaxation.

This oil is all things calming. Diffuse or add a few drops to some Epsom salts in a bath to help you relax and unwind. You can also make yourself a nice pillow spray by adding some water and a few drops of lavender to a glass spritz jar.


Juniper Berry is a very calming oil, very good for to freshen and purify the air and it blends well with Grapefruit, Bergamot or Cypress. It can also be used to help relieve joint pain.

Balance is a grounding blend that is excellent to use before bed while thinking positive thoughts to promote peaceful dreams. Great to add to Epsom salts for a comforting bath. Also amazing to use while meditating or doing yoga.

Super grounding. Apply to feet, neck to help relax after a long day. It has an earthy base for all of your diffuser blends.

Arborvitae is my favourite oil, with good reason…it’s Canadian! 😉 Not only does it smell amazing, it also provides a sense of peace and calm. Like most tree oils, it is very grounding too.

Very calming, helps relieve headaches. Diffuse or apply to neck and shoulders to help relax. You can create an at home spa experience by filling a bowl with hot water and applying a couple drops of Sandalwood to your face. Cover your head with a towel and place your face above the steaming water to help your skin feel nourished and rejuvenated.

This is the restful blend. I call it the “big guns” for sleep. Apply to the bottoms of feet before bed. Creates a perfect escape with its renewing fragrance. Diffuse to help promote relaxation or add to Epsom salts for a relaxing bath.
